
Polytechnique was accustomed in 1794 by the mathematician Gaspard Monge during the French Revolution, and became a aggressive academy beneath Napoleon I in 1804. Today, the academy still runs beneath the administration of the French admiral of Defence. Initially amid in the Latin Quarter of axial Paris, the enactment was confused in 1976 to Palaiseau on the Saclay Plateau, southwest of Paris.
